Full Stack Senior Software Engineer Job Opening in New York, New york - RAB Lighting is growing rapidly and is seeking a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer who should be excited about coding not just for a web applications but also embedded systems. Hitting the ground running, you will join a team of developers who are in the process of developing an exciting new IoT lighting controls and energy savings platform Lightcloud. Lightcloud? is designed from the ground up to be the most intuitive, advanced and secure networked control system that delivers the energy savings you need today and long into the future.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with a team of talented software engineers engaged in the development of software and technical architecture that communicates between hardware, cloud and web/mobile devices
Develop cloud and device-embedded software following standards and reusable components, including instrument integration to cloud based applications
Contribute to all aspects of software development life-cycle including design, development and testing
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in ComputerScience, Engineering, Inforlmation Systems or other related field
Five (5) plus years experience with Python applications in an embedded environment (ARM, Linux), networking, cloud services and or security
Experience creating horizontally scalable web services. (Django preferred )
Experience with realtime communication using web sockets or other push technologies
Expert knowledge of Python 2.7 or 3
Experience with queueing services (RabbitMQ, SQS)
Experience with SQL and NoSQL database (Postgres, MySql, Cassandra, ElasticSearch)
Experience with realtime data processing and reporting
Experience with single page application development
Experience with a formal software development methodology such as the Agile/Scrum
