The Position:
Develop end-user applications related to healthcare workflow planning, scheduling and real-time management, including database, algorithms and user interfaces. Meet customers to analyze requirements. Translate requirements into database, application, and user interface designs. Program and test applications. Participate in the launch of new products. Maintain and enhance applications. Design and implement custom interfaces to outside software. Provide second level technical support to sales and customer service specialists. Participate in software deployment process, including on-site when necessary.
Primary Technical Requirements:
, C# or similar programming language
Knowledge of the Framework or similar object oriented library
Experience developing or converting VB6 applications.
MS SQL or similar relational database experience
Desktop application development and deployment experience
or similar web application development experience
Working knowledge of source control systems (TFS, Visual SourceSafe)
Secondary Technical Requirements:
Experience developing WPF Desktop applications
Experience using the Entity Framework
Experience using Telerik or similar 3rd party controls
Experience using Installshield or smilar
Experience developing Web Services
Experience working with virtual machines
Other Requirements:
Able to obtain access to government systems requiring a background investigation
Ability to think critically and contribute to designing novel solutions to complex, abstract problems
Ability to effectively interact with healthcare professionals and understand healthcare work processes
Experience developing and commercializing standalone software products
Team player and collaborative in nature
Use of rigorous software engineering methodology
Obsessive about quality
