SUMMARY:
The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall clinical direction of the skilled home care services.
The Clinical Director establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for home health services.
The goals and objectives established by the Clinical Director will not only meet and promote the standards of quality but contribute to the total organization by embodying Premier?s philosophy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees all patient services provided by clinical personnel. Ensures clinical standards of practice are maintained.
Assists in the development of organizational goals.
Monitors progress towards goals for assigned areas of responsibility.
Participates in the development of clinical orientation.
Responsible for orientation of new organization personnel, either directly or by delegating to another staff member.
Implements and evaluates the orientation program for new organization personnel.
Ensures all staff providing clinical care meets State and Federal standards.
Evaluates the educational needs of clinical staff and plans on-going education and training.
Ensures compliance with all local, State, Federal and ACHC Serves as the on-site coordinator for all State, Federal, and ACHC audit surveys.
Promotes home health referrals in the health care community by participating in marketing and sales activities.
Assists the Administrator in the preparation and administration of the organization?s budget. Monitors clinical expenses to ensure compliance with the budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
An RN with a baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing or other health related field
3+ years of experience within the last 5 years in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility
1+ year of supervisory or administrative experience
Demonstrates ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel
Current State license, CPR certification, and valid driver?s license.
Current PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
