As a Physician Relations Specialist, you play a vital role and will work with our referring physicians, managers, and patients as a liaison to ensure patient care is optimal. Some of the duties include the following: Brings new referrers and generates more business from existing referrers through the marketing process. Identifies and follows up on opportunities to improve customer satisfaction. Works with the VP of Professional Relations to realize the goals of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for minimum of 10 physician office visits per day.
Maintains a well-defined call cycle; optimal call schedule of 30 calls per week.
An average of 2 hours per day spent prospecting, planning and setting up appointments.
Generate leads and drive sales by executing marketing and sales programs.
Support all company initiatives, give actionable feedback, share best practices and serve as an advocate and information source for the company.
Calls on existing and potential referral sources to provide educational information and materials, as well as, company updates.
Facilitates effective communication with physicians, referral sources, and healthcare staff; responds promptly and appropriately to any concerns or issues.
Promotes familiarly and goodwill between Radiologists and referrers.
Maintains precise and accurate records of daily and weekly activities and referral profiles.
Providing required documentation of field work onto company?s CRM system.
Track market and company sales performance.
Attend marketing meetings, generates and monitors marketing report, goals and outcomes; communicates regularly and effectively with supervisor to ensure mutual goals are understood and met.
Maintains confidentiality of information as required by state/federal regulations and company policy.
Remains current on compliance, reimbursement and practice management.
Identifies and targets new and existing services, and updates management regarding activities, opportunities, and market changes/conditions.
Attend trade shows and events to market services.
Works collaboratively with the VP of Professional Relations to identify referral growth strategies and marketing opportunities .
Other related duties will be assigned at the discretion of the VP of Professional Relations as the needs of the company change.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
One year of marketing/sales, preferably in the health care environment.
Customer service background helpful.
Knowledge of Insurance and Managed Care Environment.
Experience with cold calling and prospecting.
Valid driver?s license and valid vehicle insurance required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
General knowledge of marketing practices and research skills in order to assist VP of Professional Relations in developing marketing strategic plans and formulating goals and objectives consistent with the clients? mission.
General knowledge of marketing and health care promotion principles and theories required.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and the public.
Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude who can remain flexible as requirements change.
Must be an active listener and a good communicator.
Must maintain a professional appearance in dress and demeanor at all times.
Must be computer literate. High degree of initiative, self-motivation, accountability and independent judgment.
Must be able to drive an automobile. Driving a vehicle is essential in this position

Employee is expected to work about 90% of time in the field, as it is a sales oriented position. Occasional evening or weekend work. Office work as necessary to document field work, and meet with other Marketing Team members.

The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
