Inside Sales Job Opening in Danville, Virginia - SUMMARY
Provide service to National Welders? customers through counter sales and local delivery. Assist in all areas of the operation in order to complete assignments at hand. Position reports to the appropriate manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES
Apply entry level knowledge of products, SAP or other business management system, selling and service skills to assist customers in the purchase of welding supplies, equipment and gases. Assist walk-in customers as well as customers who call in by phone. Create customer delivery tickets and handle basic inquiries in the computer to answer customer?s questions.
Strive to steadily increase product knowledge of the gases, welding supplies, equipment and their applications through personal initiative as well as through structured training programs.
Assist in merchandising the showroom and in the housekeeping needs that must be done to provide a pleasant, safe and productive sales environment.
Assist in the loading and unloading of the route trucks.
Assist other district personnel in regular and scheduled district activities, such as physical inventories as needed or assigned.
Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
EDUCATION
Requires ability to read, write, perform basic math functions, and ability to learn and develop computer skills. Must be able to deal effectively with customers, and maintain a positive corporate image while serving customers. Equivalent to High School education.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum 6 months to 3 years experience in the industry with knowledge of welding supplies and equipment.
