We are actively looking for an experienced Intake Coordinator to assist the Home Health Department in daily processing of referrals for home health services. Considered candidates for this position must have experience as an Intake Coordinator with a home health agency, as this is a specific and detailed skill set.
Essential Job
Maintains confidentiality of patient information
Directs all daily patient referral and intake operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of intake policies.
Ensures compliance with all state, federal, and Joint Commission referral/intake regulatory requirements.
Scheduling and efficiently communicating with clinical staff
Verifies insurance, enters patient demographics into the computer system, communicates with other departments regarding status of referrals and notifies patients/families regarding coverage and payment responsibilities.
Position Qualifications
General knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar, medical records and office procedures
Basic knowledge of office machines.
Basic knowledge of telephone skills.
Aptitude or computer data entry and use of current software systems
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Compensation will be discussed upon interview.
