Healthcare Operations (Physician Practice) Manager Job Opening in Huntington Beach, California - WellCare Partners is looking for a high-energy, experienced healthcare practice manager to oversee operations at the company?s first retail medical clinic, located in Huntington Beach. The position will initially be part-time (15 - 20 hrs/wk) with some flexibility on hours and days, but could grow into a full-time position over a year or more as the company grows. This is a perfect job for a highly capable practice manager who is looking for flexible hours.
WellCare Partners, which operates under the name ?WellNow?, is a fresh new concept in healthcare, combining hands-on healthcare with telemedicine. WellNow is not a typical doctors office or urgent care center, but is an efficient, modern and hip facility in a high foot-traffic environment. We are a significantly better value than the ER or urgent care and cater to a patient base with a preponderance of minor medical conditions, early stage chronic diseases and primary care needs. Our patient turnover is brisk and our wait times are minimal.
WellCare Partners is not a run-of-the-mill practice environment. Our WellNow offices have a decidedly upscale look and feel, and our teammates are expected to provide a level of service uncommon in the primary care or urgent care environment. We are intent on building a team with an exceptional customer service orientation and our leaders need to reflect this approach every minute of every day!
Our ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2 years management experience in a healthcare environment, preferably with a combination of billing, administrative and clinical operations experience. More importantly, our preferred candidate will have infectious positive energy and be an uncanny problem solver. They will not be a strict 9 to 5?er because our centers operate 7 days a week. However, they may have other life priorities (sports, children, community service or educational activities), which makes a flexible schedule desirable. Prior experience working in hospitality or the restaurant business is a plus, as is a bachelor?s (or better yet, graduate) degree.
This position will report to the company?s operating chief and be responsible for day-to-day personnel management, operations oversight, financial management (billing and collections), staff scheduling, and facilities management. Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, online scheduling and payroll systems) and EMR experience a must, as we currently use Athena as our EMR and billing system and we are highly automated.
