As we settle into 2017 we are looking for a Field Service Manager to join our Midwest team, surrounding Iowa, IL. The Field Service Manager is directly responsible for providing world class service to a regional group of hospital accounts by managing Service Technicians and coordinating with the Plant Manager and Delivery Route Drivers as well as working closely with the Daniels Health Sales Team.
In summary the Field Service manager will be responsible for customer roll-outs, financial budgets and management of the field service team who are responsible for rotating inventory within healthcare clinics.
Such duties include:
Responsible for all new customer roll-outs
Create a culture of planning within the roll-out team,
Meet with customers and determine (document) their requirements to a high level of detail prior to the roll-out,
Examine the labor requirement for the roll-out to ensure that it is properly manned,
Work with the Daniels Sales Team; once the account has been won the Roll-out Team need to educate thousands of customer employees on the virtues of the Daniels product and how to responsibly use it,
Need to examine the ongoing labor requirement for full service Hospitals whereby the Service Tech schedule is set & understood,
Ongoing oversight of the Field Service Techs
Ensure that they are efficient and motivated in the execution of their responsibilities,
Recognize opportunities for up-sell with the customer
Ensure that there are management tools to capture performance
KPIs required to be met,
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lift containers weighing up to 40 lbs.;
Occasionally push/pull wheeled transporters and/or palletized product up to approximately 500 lbs;
Occasionally work in and around hospital personnel, sensitive medical equipment, and patients.
The successful applicant will possess the following:
Minimum 3 years proven leadership experience in service related industry; hospital services or related industry experience highly desirable;
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients;
Outstanding project management skills to oversee complex installations and meet cost and time requirements;
Solid understanding of service-related financial drivers/KPIs and experience managing budgets and profit/loss;
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in order to maintain all regulatory and client care records at 100% accuracy;
Willingness and ability to travel 50-60%; most travel is local involving day trips or overnight stays.
