DevOps Engineer Job Opening in Santa Barbara, California - DevOps Engineer
Position:
Resonant Inc. seeks a Member of Technical Staff (Dev Ops Engineer) to join our product development team. The successful candidate will work closely with a tightly-knit team of electrical and software engineers and physicists to support our operations for advanced design tools for novel RF (Radio Frequency) filters for high-volume production. Required Qualifications:
BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent
2+ years of experience in a software development team preferably as a DevOps Engineer or developer working with cloud computing resources
1+ years experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Cloud Computing (EC2) but also other AWS services like S3, EFS, ?
Strong written and verbal English skills to support complex documentation
Ability to work well in a small group environment
Willingness to jump in and take on new tasks to support the team
Responsibilities:
Deploy and manage cloud and on premise technical computing services support our product development team. Build automation tools to support the software development and network operations teams. Proactively observe engineering practices and recommend systems to solve problems or alleviate pain points Work closely with both internal and external software development resources as well as IT/network operations and the users of our solutions.
Desired skills:
Design and development experience with engineering software design tools
Proficiency working in both Linux and Microsoft Windows environments
Familiarity with Python, Perl, Ruby, or other scripting language(s)
Ability to read and comprehend code in C/C++. C# and Matlab
Familiarity with version control systems e.g. git, SVN, CVS
Familiarity with Jira or other similar issue and project tracking systems
Familiarity with SQL and databases
Familiarity with working in Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, EFS, ?)
Familiarity with HTC/HPC cluster computing schedulers (e.g. TORQUE, PBS, HTCondor) desirable
Strong product experience from inception to customer delivery
Experience with RF products and systems desirable
