Director of Sales Job Opening in Asheville, North carolina - POSITION SUMMARY: To achieve revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals by developing and implementing strategies to increase product awareness and property sales. Responsible for maximizing the potential sales volume of all segments of the FIRC Group including: Hotels, Condominiums, Shopping Centers, Office Space and Restaurants. Ensures consistent sales standards across multiple business entities. Direct and implement strategic sales initiatives for continued financial profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in the development and implementation of all business strategies for the FIRC GROUP that are aligned with the owners overall mission, vision values and strategies.
Participates in the development of the properties' business strategies.
Develops and implements marketing and sales strategies that support achievement of the properties' goals.
Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate.
Develops the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Team.
Presents statistical and performance reports, manages all financial aspects of various FIRC GROUP entities.
Understands current technological trends and systems with the ability to implement effectively.
Monitor and encourage team member performance by providing guidance and professional development.
Recruit and interview potential team members.
Achieves market share and revenue goals by directing the group and transient sales and marketing strategies.
Analyzes sales and market statistics to determine profitability of sold business and opportunities within the market.
Develops sales strategies designed to maximize revenue and yield.
Participates in the development of yield management strategies for all FIRC GROUP business entities.
Creates and implements marketing strategies that are designed to increase awareness in the various markets.
Develops and implements public relations and advertising campaigns.
Maximizes productivity by coaching management teams on successful sales techniques.
Qualifies prospective leads to profitability. Designs and proposes programs that meet the clients needs.
Negotiates and closes contracts with key customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
College degree strongly preferred. Additional training/education a plus.
At least seven (7) years of related hospitality or sales experience. Equivalent combination of considered. Preferred candidates will have comparable leadership experience at an upscale attraction, hotel/resort, or guest service environment.
Ability to travel.
Familiar with standard operational metrics, business drivers, and trends for hospitality sales; knowledge of reporting protocols a plus; strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; products/services, protocols, and systems.
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills; interacts effectively and professionally at all levels; strong presentation and public speaking skills.
Excellent organizational, planning, project/time management skills; prioritizes, multi-tasks, and adapts; keen attention to details; focus on quality and service.
Proactive, exercises good judgment; troubleshoots, strategic, anticipates; creatively problem solves; listens well.
Professionally represents the FIRC brand and values at all times.
Budget Management Skill in developing and adhering to department budget.
Demonstrate ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levels.
Develop and guide others in professional growth and performance enhancement through assuring clarity of goals, employing reflective listening skills, and facilitating the generation of options and action planning.
