Technical Sales Engineer Job Opening in Charlotte, North carolina - A Technical Sales Engineer (aka "Territory Sales Engineer") at Status Solutions is the primary technical resource for the sales team, responsible for overseeing the technical integrity of new and existing customer deployments. Technical Engineers work with clients, at their site or remotely, performing installation, configuration, consulting and training. Technical Engineers also assists in sales by speaking with prospective clients and conducting online demos. This role is vital to driving successful customer experience outcomes through technology consultation and counselor sales, with a focus on successful software integrations and the support of our valued business partner (VBP) network. This person is responsible for communicating and collaborating between the development, sales, and solution management teams to create cohesive technology outcomes for our end-users.
Work on a three-person territory team with Territory Manager and Business Development Rep
Support multiple states within a designated territory
Technology sales consultation with customers, including solution demos
Customer requirements gathering and site validation
Pre-install documentation and pre-sales preparation
Work with Product Owners on technology architecture and development roadmap
Technology infrastructure, networking and system design
Post-sale quality assessments to verify completed installations
Validate post-install customer experience and overall customer satisfaction
Coordination of VBP technical and sales training
Perform mentored installations of software/hardware solutions with VBPs
Resolve major escalated on-site support incident (as needed)
Requirements:
Four-year technical degree (B.S. or B.A.)
3 to 5 years of prior sales engineering experience
Requires a flexible work and travel schedule (50-75% travel)
Experience in networking/systems, telephony, and/or cellular experience preferred
Business development experience (preferred, not required)
Demonstrated knowledge of information systems and technology infrastructures (preferred, not required)
Strong relationship and communication skills
Desire to learn and grow quickly with the company and technology
Display a high-level of critical thinking and problem-solving
Benefits:
Base salary starting at $45,000/annually + commission (based on experience)
