Staff Accountant Job Opening in Fort Worth, Texas - Our company is currently seeking a versatile Staff Accountant to join our Accounting/HR department. The Staff Accountant will perform the day-to-day duties of HR/Payroll and Accounts Payable as well as contribute to Accounts Receivable and Inventory. This position will allow you to contribute to and gain broad experience in all aspects of our accounting department.
Responsibilities & Duties
Accounts Receivable ? invoice customers, set up new jobs, input estimated job costs
Accounts Payable - input and match receipts, code and enter invoices, process payments, and maintain vendor records
Payroll - prepare weekly, remit taxes & 401k, process garnishments, direct deposits, and administer time clock system including employee set-up/updates and interface to payroll software
Human Resources ? conduct new hire onboarding for payroll and benefits, establish/maintain employee records, insure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations (OSHA, Work Comp, Medicare, etc.), administer benefits, reconcile benefit plan invoices to payroll deductions, manage Work Comp claims, act as liaison with staffing agencies, and process terminations
Inventory ? accurate calculation and timely recording of transactions including material receipts and daily production batches
Reports to Controller
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of Accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
HR/Payroll experience including knowledge of Federal & State Employment Laws
Microsoft Dynamics GP (preferable)
Key2Act/Wennsoft (a plus)
Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
Highly organized & detail oriented
Able to complete tasks timely and accurately with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Understanding of accounting theories, practices, and general ledger transactions
Bilingual (a plus but not required)

Salary: $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
