Inside Sales/Sales Trainee Job Opening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana - PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Inside Sales position ensures that all rental related functions of the branch are conducted in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. This role provides a great opportunity to learn all aspects of the business to prepare you for future roles in sales and/or management.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Comply with Company and customer policies, established procedures and directives to ensure Company standards are maintained. These policies and procedures include but are not limited to all paperwork and procedures involving safety, confidentiality and in processing sales and sales information. All paperwork and reports are to be produced accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
Must be knowledgeable of Company products, inventory, pricing and delivery capabilities
Responsible for answering branch phone and routing calls to appropriate office
Maintain professional, ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers and follow the established chain of command in conducting business
Act as a liaison between customers and other operations of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met, or exceeded, and to maintain good will for future business
Responsible for management of all on/off rents
Dispatches and coordinates delivery and pickup of equipment and parts
Dispatches service calls as required and maintains appropriate call logs
Issues and receives Purchase Orders
Monitors accounts receivable reports
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the branch in the absence of a Branch Manager
Creates and monitors rental contracts and delivery tickets
Conducts weekly safety meetings
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Must have solid computer skills (RentalMan experience is a plus)
Must be able to work independently, prioritize and accomplish deadlines.
Must be able to work in a team environment to complete department assigned projects
Must have excellent problem solving skills.
Must have desire to learn sales function and develop career in Outside Sales.
Must be detail oriented and organized.
Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time.
