Staff Accountant Job Opening in Saint Petersburg, Florida - This position is a consultant based role with one of our top clients in the Saint Petersburg area. Depending on performance this opportunity could potentially go permanent or get extended.
Staff Accountant Job Duties:
Prepare/research reconciliations of the disbursement accts and cash clearing accounts.
Prepare the weekly and monthly AR and HOA funds transfers
Create a variety of new template sheets in Excel or in internal database
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Job Qualifications:
Strong Bank Reconciliation Experience Required
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred; Bachelors in a Business Practice required
1+ years of Accounting required
Strong Excel knowledge (function formulas, pivot tables, macros)
