Software Engineer (Golang) Job Opening in Manassas, Virginia - We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to provide technical development expertise through the design, development and deployment of software solutions. The software engineer will help us build and test next-generation solutions from a wide variety of products within our engineering team.
The ideal candidate be a technically competent software professional that keeps up to date on current tools and technologies and has a wide range of experience from web stack technologies to security and performance.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop high-quality software designs and architectures
Test and peer-review proposed software solutions
Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
Work with external vendors and internal operations staff to provide technical expertise
Debug code
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
Qualification & Experience
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
Experience with Go (golang) development
Experience with Python, C/C++ and shell scripting (Flask, Ansible)
Familiarity with webstack technologies using Javascript (, ), CSS/HTML preferred
Experience with API development and RPC transport (gRPC, Protocol Buffers)
Experience working with containerization technologies and virtualization technologies
Experience working with Git
An understanding of networking authentication and security
In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
Familiarity with RedHat ?based Systems (CentOS)
BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
Resourceful and hard-working
Excellent communication skills
