Benefits Specialist Job Opening in Addison, Illinois - Job Function Summary :
The Benefit Specialist will be part of the Human Resource Team. The primary role for this position will be to support the administration of the health and welfare and retirement plan. This role will also provide comprehensive support and response to employees, managers and HR Business Partner questions relating to benefits, disability and leave of absence management; and retirement plan administration.
Job Functions :
Serves as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
Works with carriers to ensure consistent application of determining eligibility for benefits and consistent application of plan coverage policies.
Assists employees with benefit questions and issue resolution
Support the administration of the Health & Welfare Programs and Retirement Plan, including invoice processing and reconciliation; annual audit and compliance; plan participation and data reconciliation with HRIS, payroll and carriers.
Manage the 401(K) payroll reconciliation and funding, semi-annual pension funding, annual audit, and compliance notifications.
Partners with Manager, Total Rewards in the administration of Leave Management and communication and education with managers and HR partners.
Assist in managing processing employee benefit elections including new hire, life event changes and annual open enrollment ensuring accurate and timely submission of data to benefit providers and Payroll.
Conducts new hire orientation for benefits.
Administer the Company Service Award and Tuition Reimbursement programs.
Assists Manager, Total Rewards with annual open enrollment planning, benefit communications, vendor implementation and system configuration.
Assist with ACA duties such as analysis of data as it relates to ACA requirements, system configuration, and audit reports to maintain ACA compliance.
Partner with Manager, Total Rewards in administering and communicating company?s wellness program and initiatives.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proactive and solution oriented individual that works well in a team environment with a strong attention to detail and verbal communication skills.
Experience with HRIS Systems, Success Factors and ADP products preferred, and strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be customer-focused and detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of responsiveness and customer attention and service.
Minimum Requirements :
Experience in the Medical Device or Healthcare industry is a plus.
Bachelor?s Degree or the relevant experience required.
2-4 years relevant working experience.
Quality Requirements :
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Ensure compliance to all FDA and Worldwide Quality & Compliance regulations (As applicable to the job function).
Must have the education and experience to understand and comply with U.S. and Worldwide medical device regulations (As applicable to your job function).
Attend all required Quality & Compliance training at the specified interval.
