Senior Accountant Duties:
Lead monthly, quarterly and yearly close process as well as preparing and posting standard & non-standard journal entries
Maintain the review and creation of customer contracts for revenue recognition issues
Prepare financial statements and present findings on trending analytics by comparing actuals vs forecasted revenue amounts
Creates and processes monthly revenue journal entries and maintains updates as scheduled
Ensures compliance of GAAP and SOX controls.
Work closely with multiple other reporting departments during month end
Documentation and monitoring of internal controls and closely working with internal and external Audit teams
Provide support and analysis for all acquisitions and divestitures from an accounting, systems and process standpoint
Special projects as needed
Requirements of Senior Accountant:
MUST have a Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA strongly preferred
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding within GAAP & SOX
Publicly traded company experience
Advanced Excel - various ERP knowledge
