Associate Project Manager Job Opening in Pottsville, Pennsylvania - Quandel?s Performance Construction Group is a heavy concrete and bridge construction business in our portfolio of companies. We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to support our heavy concrete and bridge construction projects in Pennsylvania. This position will be based in our Pottsville, PA office.
Our Project Managers are the focal point to the success of our construction projects. This position assumes responsibility for the profitability and loss control of each assigned project. Success in this position requires a great deal of collaboration with our customers, our superintendents, and other internal team members. We expect a Senior Project Manager to hold to an aggressive construction schedule, accurately maintain profits and losses at 95%+ of budget, and address challenges immediately. A successful candidate will fulfill the following work:
This position has responsibilities with project planning including the construction schedule; agreements with subcontractors; daily interaction with site superintendents and subcontractors; and reporting to Quandel management on a frequent basis the project timeline.
Process submittals of shop drawings and RFIs.
Expedite equipment and material deliveries to job sites.
Compile daily reports and meeting minutes.
Assists with estimating new project opportunities.
Manages the safety of the job sites through collaboration with site superintendents and subcontractors.
And a qualified candidate must have the following education and experience:
3 years of project management.
Preferred experience with heavy concrete or bridge construction.
Extensive use and high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Use of an ERP or an construction management system like Viewpoint, Smartbid, ProCore, New Forma, Adobe Docs, AIA, BlueBeam; scheduling tools like Primavera P6; and document sharing programs like , Dropbox or Google Drive.
