Controller/Accounting Manager Job Opening in Miami Beach, Florida - American Plumbing and Electrical Supply has served Southeast Florida, under the same ownership since 1966. We distribute a full line of industrial maintenance and repair supplies including lumber and building supplies. We are seeking a hands-on Controller/Office Manager to oversee the financial and day to day accounting and office functions. The right individual for this position will have the ability to lead by example, including a roll up your sleeves and dig in mentality when needed.
Salary: DOE
Responsibilities:
Oversee activities related to traditional general accounting functions including accounts payables, accounts receivable, cash management, general and subsidiary ledgers, payroll, billing, etc.
Reconcile bank accounts
Close general ledger
Sales tax report preparation and filing
Manage business, group health and workers comp insurance
Manage employee benefits
Work with our CPA at year end supplying extended trial balance and account analysis
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
A minimum of 5 years accounting experience
Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Experience in Profit 21 Software would be helpful
