Accounting Manager Job Opening in Orlando, Florida - Hytec Dealer Services is the national leader in electronic repair and parts fulfillment for the office imaging industry serving all of North America. With our recent growth and expansion, we are looking to add a talented Accounting Manager to our growing team.
The Accounting Manager is of extreme importance directly affecting the financial operation and health of the company. The Accounting Manager is the strategic planner taking the necessary steps to ensure the continued financial strength of the company to satisfy current and future requirements. This position must maintain clear and professional internal and external communication providing the necessary financial analysis to executive management, the company?s CPA, banking partner and internal management staff. The Accounting Manager is accountable for all planning, decision making, organizing, communicating and controlling the financial aspects of the company.
The Accounting Manager will work with employee resources to manage all planning, decision making, organizing, staffing, communicating, motivating, leading, and controlling the human resource aspects of the company.
Responsibilities
Financial planning and performance. Provide executive management with the necessary analysis reports and financial statements.
Preparation and management of the company?s operating budget, establishing guidelines and controls to ensure compliance with Hytec?s immediate and long term projected growth requirements.
Maintain the integrity and reliability of the general ledger through month end closings and reconciliation.
Work with The Operation?s Manager and Inventory Control Manager to ensure the timely and accurate recording of Cost of Goods Sold through the relief of parts inventory, labor and core board cost.
Establish and maintain controls to monitor compliance with GAAP.
Establish, maintain and coordinate relations with company CPA to ensure profitability while minimizing tax liabilities through financial statement management and tax returns.
Establish procedures and manage the filing of State Sales Tax and Canadian Goods and Service Tax returns.
Establish, maintain and coordinate relationships with the company?s Attorneys for all corporate and employment legal matters.
Establish, maintain and coordinate relationships with banks to ensure the best possible financial structure through financing rates, terms and fees based on the company?s financial position and strength.
Cash management utilizing cash receipts, line of credit, money market funds and vendor terms negotiations to ensure cash availability to satisfy company requirements.
Establish company insurance requirements and policies to ensure the proper coverage for corporate liability, assets and fiduciary responsibility.
Asset Management, reconciliation and record keeping ensuring proper recording of all assets capitalized or expensed.
Corporate structure and record keeping coordinated with stockholders.
Establish policies and procedures for customer invoicing and credit management to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining company objectives. Must maintain timely issuance of invoices, credits and response to customer requests.
Establish policies and procedures for vendor terms, receipts, price monitoring and invoice processing.
Departmental organization to ensure the best structure for operational efficiency, quality, communication, customer and vendor satisfaction.
Create and maintain accurate and current job descriptions for all positions within the Accounting department. Must maintain a current organizational chart of responsibilities for reliable communication internally and externally.
Ensure ongoing improvement, performance and education of all departmental employees.
Establish and maintain goals for department personnel to ensure the highest level of productivity & efficiency.
Must work closely with the Inventory Control Manager to ensure proper inventory levels to satisfy current and projected revenue requirements.
Work with Employee Resources ensure accurate and confidential employee records.
Ensure clear, professional, legal and effective internal and external communication of confidential employee information.
Negotiate and maintain the Employees Health Benefit Plan encompassing Health, Dental, Life, Short Term, Long Term Disability and Cancer Insurance.
Manage the Hytec Dealer Services Employee 401(k) & Profit Sharing Plan ensuring accurate and legal record keeping, funding, year-end and distributions. Issue annual 1009R?s and government filings. Coordinate investment strategies with executive management.
Manage bi-weekly payroll, quarterly payroll taxes, deductions and annual W-2?s including 1099?s, W-3?s, Social Security filings, workers compensation, Section 125, State and Federal reporting requirements.
Negotiate, establish and manage workers compensation policies, procedures and claims. Perform annual Workers Compensation audits with carriers.
Provides payroll reports and updates to executive management.
Relationships
President & CEO ---Reports directly to the President and CEO
Service Division- --Works closely with the service division to provide the financial resources necessary to promote customer satisfaction and the growth of the company.
Sales & Customer Service ---Works closely with these departments to resolve customer issues, enhance sales & growth opportunities, and to ensure customer satisfaction.
Other Staff & Management ---Cooperates and works with all other staff and management throughout the company to ensure customer satisfaction, and company profitability.

Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 10+ years of experience; a minimum of 5 years of experience at the management level
Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret financial statements various types of internal management reports
Experience forecasting and creating organizational budgets
Excellent communication (verbal and written), people management, and leadership skills
Must be detailed, organized, and accurate in work Must have exceptional customer service skills (internal and external customers)
Must have advanced computer skills, including in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have proficiency in an ERP system (IFS Preferred)
Must be able to work 40-50 hours per week Monday - Friday and have excellent availability.
Must be dependable and able to direct the financial and human resource departments autonomously and under time constraints.
Must be able to make sound and competent decisions regarding the company?s financial and human resource matters.
CPA a plus but not required
