Fast-growing Indoor Mapping and Location-Based Services software company is looking to hire an Indoor Mapping Specialist. This position will involve working directly with the client in converting Autocad floor plans into compelling ?2.5D? indoor maps, to be used on mobile devices, kiosks, and the Web as part of an overall ?Digital Wayfinding? solution. This is a fast-paced environment and the candidate will need to have excellent multi-tasking skills. There is a definite growth path for this position into a customer-facing Project Management role. The company is currently located in Manhattan but may be moving to Westchester County, NY or Fairfield County, CT. We are open to hiring a recent college graduate with a Computer Science or related background.
Following are additional job requirements:
Illustration Design skills
Technical Drawing / CAD skills
Extreme attention to detail and ability to learn and quickly perfect skills in complex layering structure and proprietary mapping platform used to turn floor plans into 2.5 dimensional maps
Excellent communication skills to interact with client operations staff in developing accurate maps and map metadata
Strong organizational and project management skills
Interest in mapping and geospatial technologies
Architectural and/or technical drawing background a plus
