Position Summary
The Sr. Developer has proficient knowledge of multiple programming languages along with the ability to take business requirements and develop the total technical design for an entire application to be run in production. The Sr. Developer has the ability to lay out requirements for the project team. Ability to guide and direct work on multiple projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production. Thorough understanding of life cycle development through production implementation and post implementation. The Sr. Developer has the ability to present at the display strategic view of applications and how they fit into the whole retail space.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include
The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for the following:
Work closely with Head of IT and other business stakeholders to develop products to drive store innovation and deploy internal and cloud-based solutions to enable key business services (HRIS, ERP, Mobility, Data warehouse, etc). * Help technical teams to: ~ Detail technical designs and specifications for multiple product features. ~ Enforce design and coding standards through formal reviews ~ Ensure non-functional quality attributes are met prior to production deployment * Enhance and support a metrics-driven approach to continuously improve code quality * Successfully coordinate application development tasks * Learn the core applications of Heartland Automotive Services and build a knowledgebase to help cross train team members * Assist triage and resolution for production issues as they arise

Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Senior Software Developer will have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
Hands-on experience delivering software solutions using framework (C#, , , , ) * Experience with classic ASP and Access a plus * Web service development frameworks and methodologies (RESTful). * Experience in JSON and XML. * Experience with MS SQL Server, SQL and store procedures * Experience with integration testing frameworks/tools. * Experience developing using agile methods. Experience in XP (Pair Programming, TDD) highly preferred. * Experience in agile and waterfall SDLC methods. * Design and development background in diverse technologies including web application development (server side and client side), mobile web development, data integration, middleware, and packaged applications. * Retail Industry best practices and operational knowledge. * Technology trends and innovations; Excellent communications, organization, and time management skills * Basic, networking, and LAN administration.
5+ years with various data warehouse concepts (Star, Snowflake, Columnar vs. row, In-Memory, Cloud).
5+ years with various business intelligence tools, preferably from the Microsoft stack (Power BI).
DevOps engineering and methodology experience, leveraging AWS or other cloud platforms ? Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Integration, etc.
Container experience not required, but nice to have ? Dockers, Kubernetes, etc.
5+ years of software architecture experience.
Enterprise Portal development experience.
Retail experience (not required, but nice to have).
· Extensive knowledge of mobile platform frameworks and best practices (Android and/or iOS).
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or MIS.
