Accountant - Tax - Charleston Job Opening in Charleston, West virginia - Leading and fast growing public accounting firm is currently seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join their team in Charleston. This company is one of the best CPA firms to work for in the region. The Tax Accountant will have 1+ years experience in public accounting focusing on tax is desirable. A combination of corporate tax and public accounting is also desirable.
Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant:
Prepares individual and business tax returns,including corporations, partnerships, and non profits
Prepares work papers that follow all the firms policies and procedures and best practices
Performs tax research and works with clients on tax planning and implementation
Assists with gathering and preparing information for state and federal audits
Maintains excellent relationships with internal and external clients
Qualifications for the Tax Accountant:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
1-4 years of tax accounting experience in public accounting. Corporate tax experience will also be considered
CPA or progress towards CPA completion a plus
