Tax Manager - CPA - Charleston Job Opening in Charleston, West virginia - Great public accounting firm is looking to add Tax Managers to its growing accounting team in Charleston. This position is located in the Charleston area and the company is one of the areas largest and most respected accounting firms. The Tax Manager will have prior public accounting experience and an ideal candidate will have 5+ years of public accounting experience as well as a CPA license. Advanced education (MBA or MS in Accounting) is a plus. Candidates who are currently Tax Supervisors or Tax Managers are encouraged to apply. Candidates with a combination of public accounting as well as corporate accounting experience are also encouraged to apply. Responsibilities for Tax Manager:
Provide primary and secondary review of corporate, individual, trust, partnership, and non profit tax returns
Manage multiple internal projects and client engagements simultaneously
Conduct research and analysis on a wide range of tax issues
Develop, manage, and grow existing and new client relationships
Provide leadership, motivation, and mentorship to junior staff
Develop new business relationships with potential clients
Qualifications for Tax Manager:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting required. Advanced degree is a plus
A minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience required. A combination of public and private industry tax experience will be considered.
CPA license required
Excellent team building skills and ability to lead a team
Superior communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients at all levels
