Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - Summary: Responsible for all accounts payable activities in Normet Americas to include preparation, coding, review and maintenance of records by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains all accounts payable files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Updates vendor information in ASW Accounting Software.
Maintains Accounts Payable check and invoices files on shared drive.
Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and departmental approval prior to entry in ASW.
Prioritizes invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
Process 3 way P.O. matching invoices, up to 100 plus line items to assure accuracy and enters these invoices into ASW Accounting software.
Researches with Operations and Purchasing Department price discrepancies between AP invoice and purchase order.
Reviews, batches and codes Accounts Payable expense/overhead invoices that do not have purchase orders associated.
Reconciles Accounts Payable invoices entered and batch totals.
Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
Researches and responds to all Accounts Payable inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
Monitors all paperwork, invoices, correspondence and verbal communication with vendors.
Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
Mails Accounts Payable checks with appropriate supporting documentation.
Processes all check requests that need to be done on an ?Urgent Basis?.
Processes year-end 1099 Forms to vendors.
Reconciles all Accounts Payable aging with internal companies to ensure accuracy.
Maintains Accounts Payable Aging analysis and cash requirement schedules.
Prepares accruals and reconciles to the general ledger.
Balance Sheet reconciliations
Month end journal entries
Document scanning
Concur ? processing/expense policy compliance
Requirements:

Bachelor?s Degree Required
at least five years of experience in accounting and/or finance.
