Assisted Living Administrator Job Opening in Dallas, Oregon - Dallas Retirement Village, one of Oregon?s top 100 best non-profits to work for in 2015 (according to Oregon Business), is seeking an amazing Assisted Living Administrator to join our team. The Assisted Living Administrator will direct the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards guidelines and regulations that govern assisted living facilities to ensure the highest degree of care is provided to residents at all times. The incumbent will oversee a staff of 40+ employees and six direct reports that will work together to achieve department and organizational goals.
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position (medical, dental, and vision insurance; time off with pay, and retirement savings with employer match).
Qualifications:
BS or BA degree in Healthcare, Communication, Marketing, Business, Leadership, or related field
Assisted Living Administrator Certification in the State of Oregon or ability to obtain within six months of hire
Ability to establish priorities and organize work and care efficiently
5+ years of management experience in a Health Care or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact with residents, staff, families, and other guests in a caring, empathetic, positive, and professional manner
Essential Functions:
Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, development, training, and evaluation of staff
Participates in family and resident counseling
Works within and under the scope of standards defined and required by the certification for the position
Provides effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to resident care
Plans, organizes, develops, implements, and interprets the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation
Provides for an environment where residents receive care in a manner that maintains or enhances their quality of life without infringing upon the safety and rights of other residents.
