Essential Functions

Conducts market research/analysis and coordinates with Sales Director to develop prospect calling lists.
Prospects (cold call, email, conference assistance, etc?) and qualifies new-business leads and referrals to be handed to outside sales executives. Please note that this position will require a significant volume of phone calls, both to existing customers and to cultivate new business opportunities.
Prospects existing customer base to expand solution utilization.
Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads into the sales pipeline.
Utilizes the company-provided customer relationship management tool in the daily routine.
Represents Salamander at trade shows to promote product.
Responds to requests from leads/customers for information in a timely fashion.
Ensures lead identification, planning, account qualification and needs analysis at initial prospect level.
Identifies revenue opportunities within customers' communities through communications, programs and other activities as needed.
Assists other departments within Salamander on an ?as-needed? basis.
Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
Goals
Generate a minimum of eight (8) qualified leads per week
Qualified leads are defined as having a basic understanding of the value of Salamander and an interest in receiving a webinar or in-person demo of Salamander?s Intelligent Accountability solutions.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
For the majority of the time, this job operates in the Salamander home office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM or as needed to handle scheduled events. This position may occasionally require weekend work.
Travel
This position requires up to 10% travel. Some of the travel may be international.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor?s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
A minimum of one year in a sales role.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in an emergency services environment.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Valid driver?s license.
Valid passport.
Be able to pass security clearances as required to conduct on-site demonstrations.
