Data Modeler/Architect Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Data Modeler/Architect position performs a key role to deliver project position is directly responsible in requirements gather, Data designed and Architecture and client primary focus of this role is the ongoing and future development of the new and current Data model and Data governance and quality functionalities and architecture.
Ø Ability to document business and system processes, creating process diagrams and troubleshooting paths.
Ø Advanced problem solving capability in being able to get to root cause of the problem.
Ø Ability to multitask, handle ambiguity, as well as taking charge of tasks and leading them to completion while meeting required due dates.
Ø Concise writing skills; articulate speaking skills.
Ø Facilitate meetings and document outcome.
Ø Ability to estimate completion dates based on requirements.
Ø Experience in developing use cases, functional specs, design specs, ERDs etc.
Ø Knowledge of software development life cycles.
Ø Rapid learning ability in learning new software and interfaces.
Ø Assembles and presents recommendations for review/approval.
Ø Performs above functions with little Qualifications:
Ø 7-8 years of Data modeling and Data Analysis experience.
Ø Experience in Ervin tool, including Visio
Ø Multiple OS platform interface experience
Ø Should have excellent Communication Skills as this position requires direct customer & business interaction on daily basis
Preferred technical experience -
*Extensive experience with Data modeling, ETL (Informatica) and BI, experienced with ETL with hands on experience on Informatica Powercenter Tool
*knowledge of Various Data modeling techniques and processes
*Experience with using DW-BI in conjunction within Data Warehouse
*Familiar with ETL development using Turbo Integrator / Informatica
*Knowledge of planning and forecasting functions and business processes
