Accountant Job Opening in Oroville, California - Looking for an accountant part-time (20 hours a week approximate) in-house to manage accounting needs for an online business that does over a million a year in sales, plus a boutique real estate business as well as the personal accounting of the two principals.
This position entails:
Daily posting of revenue and recording deposits rom the online business, along with review of bank account and credit card activity.
Availability to return texts or calls from the COO at some point during the workday when not in the office.
Daily email reporting of bank balances and outstanding obligations to COO. (Experience with InfusionSoft CMS a plus but not a requirement)
Daily monitoring of debit and credit card activity for the 10 members of the team.
Weekly initiating of wires and processing of payment of invoices through online banking.
Weekly reporting to COO detailing revenue, payments issued, outstanding A/P, including files of bank account activity, credit and debit card activity for all cardholders.
Bi-monthly payroll processing for one employee, with tax deposits and Quarterly/Annual report filings and worker's compensation reports.
Monthly reconciliation to/from accounts, preparation of P&Ls, update budgets, and preparation of QB or Excel reports as requested.
Occasional interaction with the COO and th firm's outside CPA who prepares the tax returns.
Requirements:
Substantial training and experience in accounting (CPAs given preference).
Independent self starter with exceptional eye for detail.
Exceptional skills using QuickBooks and Excel.
Ability to manage a fair volume of email activity, save and file accordingly.
Preference to an applicant who has the background and training to review contracts and assist the COO in making financial decisions for the companies.
Ability to spend a minimum of 10 to15 hours a week in the Oroville office (those days/hours may be selected by the applicant)
Impeccable integrity and ethics.
References required.
Compensation to be based on applicant's training and experience.
