Accounting Manager Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - We are a third-party transportation provider. We provide transportation solutions to major shippers (military, national retail, grocery, automotive, etc.) throughout North America. We specialize in truckload, flatbed, LTL, intermodal and reefer.
We are seeking an Accounting Manager for immediate consideration:
Details of position:
Develop and maintain financial record keeping and reporting systems
Supervise billing, receivables, payables, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and general ledger functions
Monitor and follow-up on receivables that have been outstanding for unusually long periods of time
Assists with the production of monthly financial statements including balance sheet, profit/loss statements, and accumulative general ledger using a computer-based accounting system.
Insure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly closing general ledger entries.
Review reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items
Supervise preparation of invoices
Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer
Coordinates the handling of difficult and/or unusual situations and escalates to Operations Manager or Chief Financial Officer when appropriate
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency in Accounting Seed
Precise attention to detail with strang organization skills
High level of professionalis
Past experience in third party logistics preferred
