Controller Job Opening in Dickinson, North dakota - The Controller is primarily responsible for the management and direction of all day-to-day accounting functions involved with the processing, compliance and reporting of financial transactions of the organization. Areas of responsibility, among others, will include financial reporting and general ledger, and oversight of, as well as direct participation in, activities of cost and general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. The individual will provide leadership and guidance, and overall business analysis, for financial systems and reporting for various stakeholders in the organization.
Bachelor?s degree in accounting, business administration or equivalent; C.P.A designation preferred
Previous ERP experience necessary; exposure to Microsoft NAV preferred
Proficient with all Microsoft Office products with in-depth experience with Excel/ spreadsheets
Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management in public accounting and/or a corporate office of a privately held company
Minimum of 5 years of previous management experience
Manufacturing or closely related experience necessary
Strong working knowledge of multi-state payroll processing
Extensive experience with general ledger, consolidation, and income tax compliance including developing month-end closing statements; working knowledge of banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, fixed assets, and internal controls
Experience with required government accounting and payroll reports
Past exposure to working with banks/banking relationships, business insurance and employee benefits desired
