Staff Accountant Job Opening in West Fargo, North dakota - Summary:
Under the direction of the Corporate Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for facilitating treasury management, transaction processing, and assisting team members in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly financial statements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Facilitate Treasury Management
Review all bank accounts on daily basis & fund accounts accordingly
Reconcile bank accounts with General Ledger Daily
Consolidate cash forecasts and provide analysis on accuracy and suggested improvements for CFO
Review and reconcile daily cash drawer activity
Review daily sales activity registers and follow-up with unusual or unexpected transactions
Support Annual Audit
Provide support to Controller on annual audit process; including physical inventory and providing documentation as needed by Auditors
All aspects of Accounts Payable in a high volume and fast paced work environment :
Manage outstanding payables::
Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
Audit and process credit card bills
Enter & process payables, during peak times
Process payables
Process 3 way P.O. matching invoices
Entry of invoices into the AP system
Process payment requests
Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
Maintain an active role in company accounting activities:
Journal entries
Account reconciliations
Account analysis
Respond to all vendor inquiries
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Maintain vendor tax forms. (W-9 collection and 1099 distribution)
Review and oversee Accounts Receivable Process
Month-End Financial Reporting
Prepare Reconciliations to ensure accuracy of data
Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly financial statements
Other Duties
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
2 year degree and/or experience in related Accounting field
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Attention to detail with superb accuracy
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work with minimal supervision
Positive attitude and approach
Self-motivation and professionalism
Hours of Work:
Full-time Temporary position 3-6 months employment
Position based at the ANIMART Stockmen?s Supply office in West Fargo, ND
