.NET Programmer Job Opening in Albany, New york - Our client, a securities broker/dealer headquartered in Albany, NY, is seeking to fill the position of a Programmer . This is an excellent role for an individual looking to work in a team environment and to bring their development skills to the next level. Work in a streamlined, fast moving environment, on highly visible application development. The selected candidate will work on brand new project development work using the latest Microsoft technologies (C#, 4.5, SQL Server, TFS, MVC, EF) and tools while supporting existing application platforms already in production. The selected candidate will be responsible for writing and maintaining C# code using Microsoft's Visual Studio as well as writing and maintaining queries and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server. This selected candidate will also be responsible for the gathering of business requirements, design and the development of technical solutions that improve business operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to corporate office staff, as it relates to Developed and Microsoft Azure Based Web Applications.
The Developer will analyze, design, code, modify, and test new and existing software applications. This includes design, architecture, requirements analysis, investigation of new technologies, and development.
Work closely with internal departments to determine application requirements and recommend solutions.
Development of Dynamic Web & Windows Applications and Web Services.
Assist or work on time critical projects requiring focus and precision.
Assist in writing or revising user training manuals and procedures, as it relates to Development and Code Review.
Excellent detail oriented documentation practices throughout the SDLC.
Ability to work during off hours and weekends to perform software, website maintenance as needed.
Assist in maintaining company Disaster Recovery Plan, as it relates to Development.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
5+ years ? object oriented
4 years ? Microsoft SQL Server optimizing queries, functions, stored procedures and jobs.
4 years ? JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery or similar asynchronous communications technologies.
4 years ? Microsoft framework including Visual Studio IDE.
4 years ? webservice ( Java Script, HTML, CSS).
4 years ? designing/working with n-tier architecture and service oriented architectures (SOA)
3-5 years ? software development methodologies ()
3-5 years ? software design patterns
3-5 years ? development experience using technical design documents, test plans and cases
2-3 years? experience in MVC framework .
Experience with Microsoft?s cloud services (Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, CRM) is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of software development best practices.
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
Ability to independently learn new concepts and software.
Self-motivated, detail oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage, prioritize multiple project assignments and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in inter-departmental settings.
Additional Qualifications (not required) but would be a plus:
Knowledge and Understanding of Adobe Acrobat Forms Programming (a plus) .
Knowledge and Understanding of SQL Reporting Services * (a plus) .*
