General Manager (GM) Job Opening in Spencer, Iowa - 70+ room hotel looking for a General Manager. Hart Family Hotels is a growing company looking for a GM to join our team and excel with us. The candidate will oversee all daily operations to ensure all company standards are being upheld. GM will ensure implementation of brand with the objective to meet or exceed all guest expectations. Other responsibilities include achieving hotel profitability, managing cost control, overseeing inventory, complete employee schedules, and maintain property. Some accounting responsibilities include A/P and A/R, sending in payroll, reviewing daily audits and daily deposits. Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, thorough training, and developing team members. Other responsibilities will include: Monitor housekeeping to make sure all rooms are clean and ready for arrivals. Work with front desk manager on any assigned duties or situations that require immediate attention. Assist in implementing new technology, products or services and keep up on industry trends. GM will also perform sales and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term goals. Experience preferred but not required.
