Project Manager Job Opening in Pleasant Hill, Iowa - We are looking for someone who has mid-senior level experience to become the next Project Manager for a family-owned business who values long-term employee relationships.
Job Description:
Compile and analyze data on all factors that influence the quality and profitability of a project.
Develop good relationships with customers, field workers, subcontractors and accounting staff.
Maintain schedules and material purchase requests.
Track projects through to duration, ensuring that company standards and values are followed.
Responsibilities:
Calculate and formulate precise quantity take-offs for estimates by using the plans and customer specific information provided for the project.
Consult across multiple disciplines (i.e. vendors, engineers, architects, and contractors) to discuss / formulate effective estimates in a timely manner.
Effectively produce, submit and manage RFI's, Submittals, Change Orders, and Logs.
Effectively manage and monitor multiple projects: resolve issues, track costs and resources, effectively communicate progress and changes to customers, field staff, etc.
Communicate project schedules and deadlines to Field Superintendents.
Prepare timely reports for management throughout the project to allow for effective decision making.
Must be tech-savvy.
Take responsibility for accounting documentation and resolution of issues regarding cost codes for payroll, material purchases, and invoices.
Deliver answers in a timely fashion.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to work independently with good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong work ethic/dependable.
Previous experience with Ag-Tek Software preferred.
Ability to maintain multiple schedules, deadlines and varied projects in a manner that meets company guidelines and follows company values.
Handle and analyze complaints and conflicts from customers.
Figure costs, resources or materials needed to successfully bid for and complete projects.
Assist Senior Estimator with bid strategy decisions.
Use logic and reasoning to identify solutions to changes and seek appropriate management approval.
Knowledge of business management principles involved with resource allocation and project management.
Knowledge and experience in excellent customer service, including determining customer needs and meeting quality standards for customer satisfaction.
Time management skills necessary for preforming daily work.
