Senior Accountant - Big Box Softlines Job Opening in Cherry Hill, New jersey - Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller
must have big box retail chain experience
Responsibilities:
Manage Fixed Asset System
Prepare Personal Property Tax Return
Assist in yearend audits
Assist in State Sales Tax Audits
Prepare and post Journal entries and complex accruals to ensure accuracy of the General Ledger
Complete P & L variance analysis and commentary for management review
Issue Expense Reporting Analysis
Analyze trends and partner with Finance teams to update forecasts
Prepare accurate and timely account reconciliations (including variance resolution)
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
Prepare Data for financial statements
Prepare Financial Statements
Reconcile Bank Statements
Perform special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
5 plus years of public and retail Accounting Experience
Soft lines Preferred / retail experience Required
Self Starter and highly motivated
Strong Analytical, organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment and prioritize effectively
Advanced Excel Skills, Great Plains/ERP experience a plus
Bachelors degree in Accounting
CPA Required
