Scope and General Purpose To provide guest food and beverage service in a safe and aesthetic manner for breakfast, and meeting rooms.
Main Duties 1. Reports to work on time as scheduled. Well groomed, name badge and proper uniform according to brand/company policies. 2. Practices customer service behaviors, such as listening, initiative, responsiveness, cheerfulness, accommodation, courtesy, honesty, and professionalism. 3. Demonstrates positive Team spirit providing assistance to other Team members as necessary to achieve required standards of productivity and guest care. 4. Makes decisions in the best interest of the property and in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. 5. Ensures the breakfast service is set up and maintained by time designated by company/brand policies. 6. Ensures that the meeting room/hospitality hour (if applicable) is set up and serviced as per standards. 7. Ensures that food & beverage (including utensils, napkins, etc.) are displayed in an aesthetic manner. 8. items maintaining quality of the presentation and choice with attention to guest count in house. 9. Keeps breakfast area clean, neat, and tidy. 10. Organizes, cleans, and stocks food and beverage storage and service areas as needed. 11. Rotates food and beverage and stock items according to expiration date. 12. Completes food/hygiene certification where required by state laws. 13. Sets up meeting rooms as per policy and as per customer requirements as identified on meeting room sales documentation. 14. Tests equipment to be used in meeting rooms prior to meeting room set up. 15. Ensures all storage, cabinets, pantry areas are clean, organized, and secured throughout and at the end of the working shift. 16. Maintains inventory and prepares purchase requests for supplies needed, consistent with business levels and budgets prepared by management. 17. Reports inventory shortages to Front Office Manager or General Manager. 18. Picks up litter in the parking lot and public areas as directed. 19. Controls costs by properly using department supplies, water, and electricity. 20. Follows key control and security procedures. 21. Understands and uses applicable brand standards. 22. Knows the hours of operation of the property?s facilities and is aware/promotes these facilities and amenities. 23. Ensures safe use of chemicals and equipment in accordance with the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and manufacturer?s instructions. 24. Knows how to use and is able to assist in the equipment for the disabled. 25. Knows all emergency procedures. 26. Turns in all Lost & Found items, tags, and stores them as directed by management. 27. Practices safe work habits and uses protective equipment when necessary. 28. Handles all guest complaints to customers? satisfaction and relays information to supervisor. 29. Reports items/areas needing maintenance assistance. 30. Immediately reports suspicious or unlawful activities to immediate supervisor and/or Police. 31. Attends and participates in staff meetings, safety meetings, training classes, etc. 32. Abides by all rules of Sequoia Hospitality and the brand. 33. Promotes the brand at all times. 34. Keeps all company business confidential ? either while on or off property. 35. Performs other tasks as assigned or authorized by the direct supervisor or General Manager. 36. Ensures accurate and timely reporting as applicable to the position.
