About the role:
As we prepare for our next phase of growth, we are adding key talent to our team in Chelsea, MA. The right person will be an experienced bookkeeper who is interested in implementing new ideas, technology and efficiency that will enable us to scale more quickly.
The Bookkeeper is responsible for:
GAAP Accounting & Entries
Payroll & Deductions
Accounts Payable/Receivable
Invoicing & Recording Revenue
Reconciling Bank, Cash, Balance Sheet Accounts
Monthly Reporting ? P&L, BS, Cash Flows
Administrative Support to Professionals, Clients, and Suppliers
About you:
You have 3+ years of bookkeeping and general ledger experience preferably in a manufacturing and/or start-up like environment
You take initiative and are interested in developing more efficient processes for our bookkeeping function
You?re proficient with QuickBooks (desktop and online versions) and Excel
You have worked with payroll and timekeeping software (Paylocity experience preferred)
You understand the importance of strong relationships and often go above and beyond to nurture and maintain those relationships
You work calmly and effectively in situations under pressure and to manage time effectively in a changing environment.
You are flexible and able to operate in an ?all hands on deck? environment
You can work with minimal direction but also have good instincts about when to escalate issues and ask for help
You have kept books in both a manufacturing and a retail environment
