Sales Manager Job Opening in New York, New york - Simone International is seeking a full-time New York State territorial Sales Manager to join our team. This person will be responsible for the management of approximately 12-15 sales people.
This position will grow distribution, volume and brand value, develop strong customer relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sales Execution.
Accompanies representatives on visits to customers to evaluate work performance, ascertain customer problems, and detect market trends.
Assists in developing marketing campaigns designed around market conditions.
Actively pursues opportunities to further the distribution, floor displays, and cold box presence on an individual store level.
Responsible for educating all new salespeople on current portfolio, new product introductions, key selling points and monthly objectives.
Listens to retail and on-premise management complaints and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations.
Confers with ownership and sales personnel to formulate plans for meeting competition and improving sales.
Develop and conduct wine presentations and educational seminars.
Participate in trade and consumer tastings/shows.
2. Reporting
Compiles sales figures and reports problems to ownership.
3. Compliance
Responsible for keeping up-to-date with ABC regulations and adhering to established policies and procedures regarding the handling and service of alcoholic beverages.
Must be able to secure state issue Solicitor's Permit.
Job Requirements:
: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S. or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Wine industry experience is required .
Skills:
Strong computer skills In Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to type with speed and accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and analytical skills and
Excellent negotiation and mediation skills.
Plus if candidate is bi-lingual, Italian and English.
Knowledge:
Wine knowledge, formal preferred.
Physical:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Other:
Ability to travel frequently and must have a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
