Area Sales Manager Job Opening in New York, New york - North American sales office for leading ductless air conditioning manufacturer located in northern New Jersey has an excellent opportunity for a Area sales Manager. The right candidate will have strong computer skills and required HVAC experience. This person will report to the Director of Sales and help support Regional Managers, Sales Engineers plus Independent Reps, and Distributors in addition to Contractors and Engineers in their territory.
AREA SALES MANAGER
Location : New York/New Jersey
Department : Sales
Reports to : Director of Sales, Residential Products
Direct Reports : None
Purpose of Position : Provide support for Regional Sales Managers through distributor interaction, sales presentations, market analysis and other duties to support the RSM and the sales of Fujitsu products.
Essential Duties
Provide current and new customers with sales training and presentations for Fujitsu heating and air conditioning products including VRF and ductless
Learn skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with distributor principals. Engineers and sales people
Understand and learn to implement strategies with distributor principals to maximize sales results
Provide timely follow-up and problem resolution to distributors
Work with Regional Sales Manager to manage Regional Independent Sales Reps and direct selling to key house accounts
Support Regional Sales Manager with new customer development and independent rep discipline and grooming
Continuous market analysis, strategizing against competitive products and programs
Proposals, Quotations, Credit set up, Collections and implementing corporate initiatives.
Exceed sales objectives while adhering to corporate product strategies to gain market share
Other Duties
Traveling 3-4 days per week
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering
HVAC Experience (Distributor / Manufacturer / Contractor)
Technical training experience
Well versed in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, MapPoint, etc.
Solid negotiation skills, Presentation skills, people skills
Strong skills time management & motivation
Extremely well-organized and diplomatic multi-tasker
Mini-Split experience is preferred
Exposure to marketing and Product Management is preferred
