Hours of Operation: we are currently recruiting for all shifts to cover operating hours of Monday ? Friday 8-6 p.m. /Saturday 8-4 p.m./Closed Sundays and Major Holidays
Project Description:
UPIC Health, LLC ?is currently recruiting for exceptionally talented Patient Services Specialists to assist our clients in supporting patient centered operations in our site located in Norfolk, VA.
We are looking for candidates who understand how to impress our patients with their ability to deliver exceptional, confidential, and empathic customer service. Our Patient Services Specialists enhance our brand through productive and positive interaction with patients, referring physicians, staff members, the broader medical community, and the public at-large. Responsibilities will include schedule organization, patient call management, insurance processing, provider relations, patient services, and workflow coordination. Successful candidates will possess creative problem solving skills, and also excel in time management and interpersonal communication. Excellent judgment, flexibility, and a minimum two years customer service experience, preferably in a medical office environment, are required. Fluency in medical terminology, experience with insurance , as well as proficiency with medical scheduling and office productivity software, is preferred but not required.
Job Description:
As a representative for our Company, you will play a key role in establishing the UPIC Brand while delivering patient services to nearly 50 Healthcare Centers nationwide providing support to patients of among our nations most trusted women?s health organizations.
Responsibilities:
Exercise confidentiality in all areas, abiding by HIPAA rules and regulations.
Provide professional and courteous customer/patient care, displaying knowledge and enthusiasm for UPIC Health?s Value Proposition displayed through impeccable phone etiquette, empathy and attention to detail.
Accurately collect all required new patient information, including complete and accurate insurance data and verifying eligibility in real-time.
Accurately detail information pertaining to patients.
Expedite service in situations requiring urgent attention as determined by management.
Efficiently utilize available resources to accurately and efficiently process necessary transactions.
Handle calls that can be handled and appropriately transfer calls that need to be transferred to the appropriate staff member(s).
Consistently ensures accuracy by complying with UPIC Health, LLC principles, requirements and policies and by performing quality self-checks.
Maintains high level of product and service knowledge.
Possess the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and contributes to solutions to enhance workflow efficiency and the customer's experience. Achieve or exceed assigned work standards.

What a typical day will look like:
Operating telephone equipment, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Electronic Patient Management Systems.
Supporting patients in needs assessment, scheduling and financial estimates including insurance data collection.
Documenting transactions by completing forms and record logs.
Maintaining our database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
Making a meaningful contribution through proactive communication, problem solving participation and call feedback.
Having round table discussions about the day?s/week?s learning and work collectively to make adjustments as necessary to deliver an optimal result.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED, three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A college degree is preferred
Preference will be given to those with medical office experience.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
Ability to use a multi-line VoIP system and demonstrate computer skills, including keyboard proficiency, outlook proficiency and basic office software.
Experience with an EHR/EPM desirable
Special Consideration will be given to those with medical billing and patient financial services experience.

Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
