Lead Android Developer Job Opening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - This position is located just outside Philadelphia, PA in Bristol Borough, PA, local candidates are encouraged to apply.
Perform software development of new requirements, support development on existing code base, and optimize a highly complex android application. Perform work within an agile development and apply a systematic approach to the analysis, technical design, assessment, implementation, component test, maintenance, and re-engineering of the product. Contribute to the analysis of user needs to develop software solutions while applying knowledge to improve the system development methodology. Build client relationships and be comfortable in a client setting.
Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of Android development IDEs including Android Studio or Eclipse.
Ability to create views supporting a variety of screen resolutions, orientations, and DPIs.
Experience with profiling, tuning, and optimizing Java application.
Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate mobile applications to server side systems.
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients
Working understanding of Occasionally Connected Computing (OCC) concepts and design
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrated progression and growth as an Android Software Engineer through past career experiences with enterprise clients.
Open Maps API or other mapping and analysis technology
Knowledge of SQLite and RDBMS structures and concepts
Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time as required -BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
