SUMMARY:
Our Client is a US branch of a Japanese-owned manufacturing and development company, focusing on photo development systems and dry-process film. They have asked Hallmark to help them find several software developers with a background in C# to add to their development teams. The right person for this role will have a passion for coding and working with a team to develop solutions that have immediate, tangible results for end users.
This is a staff position with a stable, growing company, working in a collaborative, team environment. **Please note: the interview process for this role includes a C# coding test**
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide project updates to senior technical staff and/or project leaders.
Analyze software requirements and determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; write requirements documentation as needed.
Develop detailed system specifications based on functional requirements; write specification documentation as needed.
Develop and present designs that address requirements and specifications; read and write design documentation and prototypes as needed.
Estimate level of effort (LOE); predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
Program software designs in appropriate languages as needed.
Integrate multiple software modules as needed.
Create and execute software system unit-testing procedures, perform integration testing; create and test installation procedures.
Coordinate releases of software with Software Quality Assurance department.
Work with support and documentation groups to provide technical / user training and configuration documents as needed.
Research / correct defects found during SQA activities or reported from the field.
Wade through code and re-architect the implementation for better performance and supportability, while leaving the appearance and workflow minimally changed.
May participate in technical interviews for potential new hires; may provide input into performance reviews.
May provide guidance and direction to junior programmers with respect to analysis, design and coding.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor?s degree in a related field (*OR* 2 additional years of work exp)
6+ years of experience in commercial software development
Skill with GUI design techniques, digital photography and digital imaging technology
Thorough knowledge regarding principals of software engineering
Strong knowledge of Windows Application programming using C# and WPF
Familiarity with C++, Java, and WinForms are a plus
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
Ability to serve as a technical lead on projects
