Job Summary:
Business to business outside sales opportunity for energetic, highly motivated sales professional. This position works & travels within a defined 8 state territory to develop new customers and increase sales to existing customers. The Territory Sales Manager is also responsible for providing technical support during the sales & installation processes. This is a developing territory. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys outside sales & is willing to work hard to maximize territory potential.
Responsibilities:
Contact potential customers, through a variety of methods including prospecting, networking, trade shows, cold calling, & telemarketing. Follow up with these companies to convert to sales.
Present & demo products to potential clients. Propose appropriate products with formal proposal & meeting. Close sales to achieve sales goals.
Foster relationships with current customers to service the account and sell additional products.
Develop project plans & the scope of work for current projects.
Act as technical liaison during the selling and installation processes.
Communicate back to internal groups the outcome of the focusing on conveying the expectations set forth, i.e. clear details, critical timeframes, and expectations.
Collaborate with management to evaluate project performance and to recommend refinements and improvements of all components.
Track and report on the status of all proposal components.
Establish and maintain on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems. Participate in onsite visits.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Extensive travel within a defined geographic territory. Territory Sales Manager covers the following territory: ND, SD, NE, KS, MO, IA, MN, WI
Required Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in business or other related discipline, or Associate?s Degree and related experience.
Required Experience:
At least two years successful selling experience in industry or in outside sales in like industry.
Skills:
Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills. Experience with budgeting processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel.
Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
