Job Overview
Interested candidates should have a General Ledger background, responsible for the accounting and reporting of assigned functional areas of the balance sheet and Income Statement. In addition to recording all required adjustments to their assigned accounts, this role will be accountable for understanding all relevant accounting and thorough understanding of how the business impacts the accounts. Efficient multitasking and organizational skills are critical to your success in the deadline-driven position. Must adhere to company policies and procedures along with State and Federal regulations.

General Ledger Accountant Requirements
Bachelor degree preferred or Associate Degree with applicable experience
General ledger accounting experience
Role requires strong verbal and written communications skills
Experience with maintaining multi company accounts
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills needed
Deep customer service orientation, both internally and externally
Preparing and posting journal entries and assisting in the month-end close process
Performing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
Reconciling bank accounts, A/R, A/P, and various other balance sheet accounts
Reconciling purchase journals and preparing inventory valuations
Knowledge of banking industry a plus.
Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word preferred.
