Quality Manager Job Opening in Hebron, Ohio - We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to ensure that our products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach our customer. The Quality Manager provides leadership for all quality-related activities corporately. The Quality Manager?s responsibility is to assure optimal overall quality of products and processes. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this position provides coordinated quality support for all departments to assure continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Manage the quality team in Hebron that consists of Quality Chemists and Quality Technicians
Manage day to day quality activities within the quality department (production/bench QC, incoming inspection, customer complaints, root cause analysis, corrective actions, etc)
Manage the internal and external audit schedule for the organization
Manage ISO 9001 activities and assure compliance to the standard companywide
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Manage control
Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
Manage the customer complaint process with data collection and monthly review corporately on all complaints
Manage all calibration efforts for the organization
Assist other departments within the organization with technical support
Manage departmental affairs as required or assigned by manager
Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives (Monthly KPIs, weekly summaries, critical quality failures, etc.)
Oversee the containment and disposition of non-conforming materials
Support engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer
Collect data and perform statistical analysis to validate root cause, process validation, process improvement, and inspection processes
Qualifications:
In-depth experience in the application of the ISO 9000 series Quality Management System and auditing
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organization and leadership skills
Strong computer skills such including SAP, Excel and Word
In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data methods
Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
Proficient use of basic laboratory equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Decision making and problem solving skills
Strong task management skills
Strong time management skills
Ability to find creative solutions to challenging problems.
Strong critical thinking with the ability to deliver result
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
7-10 Years Experience in Quality
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemistry
>5 Years Experience managing employees
Experience in formulations
Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9001, Lean, Green Belt, etc)
Microbiological Control
R&D Project Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
