Financial Aid Administrator Job Opening in Port Huron, Michigan - Lakewood School is a private college that teaches the specialty training of Massage Therapy. We are a small school and the staff perform more than one job function. The administrative staff work as a team to provide a great working and learning environment. The Financial Aid Administrator meets with prospective students, determines financial aid eligibility, and packages financial aid for students. This position also includes School Office Management beyond Financial Aid. Regular and annual reporting are required as well as the ability to research answers to financial aid policy. The following are necessary skills and education:
Highly organized individual with accurate reporting, documentation and file maintenance. This job is more about procedure than accounting. High School diploma or GED. Associates or related field preferred. Will train the right candidate.
1+ years post-secondary education financial aid experience preferred
Ability and desire to communicate with students and parents through the process with a focus on customer service.
High level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks
Ability to research answers to questions and follow procedure.
"Can do" attitude. Innovative, helpful, and efficient
Professional communication skills are required and include: writing, reading, editing, speaking, listening, software applications, data entry and reporting, and Internet research.
