Position Summary:
To administer, evaluate, coordinate and implement human resource policies, procedures and programs for the organization and employees while complying with federal and state regulations.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Maintain in depth knowledge of employment law and HR related regulations and apply to to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Conduct background screening for new hires in compliance with policies/ regulations including reference checks, drug screen, CORI, Nurse Aide Registry, OIG and license verification.
Assist in the development and administration of recruitment and retention programs ? may include job postings, job fairs, job interviews, exit interviews, employee referral bonus programs and more.
Manage and update HRIS system with applicable employment status changes, benefits enrollment/terms and HR related information; create and/or generate reports as requested.
Maintain / organize employee files/records.
Plans and participates in new employee orientation with a focus on HR Policies/Procedures and benefits.
Assist in the management of worker's compensation claims and completes all appropriate federal and state workers compensation paperwork (OSHA logs)
Provides guidance and interpretation of personnel policies and procedures
Assists managers and employees in resolution of complex employee relation issues which may include conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
Process, manage and maintain appropriate documentation for leave of absence requests (i.e. FMLA, MML, Personal, etc.)
Manage open enrollment for all benefits programs and coordinate and/or conduct employee Administer benefit plans to include enrollment, termination, change reporting, invoice reconciliation, problem resolution
Monitors and administers performance evaluation program
Completes employment verification requests from active and terminated employees, wage verification requests and employee referrals.
Assists in organizational training and development efforts
Develop strong internal and external business partnerships
Maintains a high level of confidentiality
Abide by the Standards of Conduct which is the basis of the Organizational Integrity Program.
Compliance with Health Information Privacy (HIPPA) related laws and regulations.
Assists in other HR related projects / duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a related field or 2+ years related experience and/or training; knowledge of HRIS Human Resource systems.
PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.
