We are seeking a strong Accountant with payroll processing experience. This person will be responsible for processing time-sheets, payroll deductions and process employee personnel documents. Submits all documents necessary to process payroll reconciliation, payroll related GL accounts.
Some Responsibilities include:
Process weekly and semi monthly payroll
Must have strong knowledge of payroll procedures and laws to ensure compliance
Resolves payroll discrepancies
Strong knowledge or all Federal and state Leaves.
Reconciliation of payroll to the GL
Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages as requested.
Perform financial analyses using complex excel schedules
Assist with various aspects of the monthly/annual financial close process, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliation, preparation of audit schedules.
Prepare sales tax returns and payments
perform other accounting, financial or administrative tasks and projects as needed by the CFO or Accounting Manager.
File business tax licenses renewals and payments.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field
Professional, friendly demeanor and great patience is required at all times.
Payroll processing certification preferred but not required.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the accounting
Experience with payroll and ERP software, NAVISION experience preferred but not required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks
Strong analytical, problem solving, verbal and written communication
Advance level of Excel - V Lookups, Pivot tables, Macros, Word, Access,Outlook, and standard accounting software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
