Regional Sales Manager Job Opening in Grand Junction, Colorado - Regional Sales Manager
Manufacturer of custom fabricated equipment for the mining and oil field industries has the immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager in our Western Territory .
This position reports directly to the Sales Director and is responsible for developing and managing sales activities of products and service for the Western Territory, achieving sales growth targets and building strong customer relationships.
Major Duties
Drive new sales opportunities with direct customers and for products and services
Manage distribution channel for branded products, select distributors, negotiate & manage distributor agreements
Lead external sales activities for products and services; negotiate sales agreements
Assist in managing on-line product presentations and sales; oversee ?shared? sales resources
Promote intra-company sales throughout the organization through product cross-over training
Actively participate with Senior Management in short & long term planning, establish sales strategies/goals, new product development new product development, identify new
Manage sales programs, promotions, and advertisements as needed
Oversee distribution of non-branded products, negotiate distribution agreements & manage the distribution channel
Promote and manage sales of repair services by locating customers and performing negotiations as needed
Cultivate & maintain positive customer/ supplier relationships for branded and non-branded product sales channels.
Requirements :
BA/BS degree in Business Management, Marketing/Sales or Electrical Technology field plus five (5) years mining/ business sales experience.
Excellent skills in networking, cultivating and managing relationships, and executing deals
Proven track record in a sales environment, including identifying and presenting technical solutions to optimize value to the client
Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines & manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
Understanding of engineering and electrical energy systems and ability to communicate complex technical concepts in conversations and presentations
Strong People management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team in addressing complex customer requirements
Demonstrated track record in top-line growth development, including customer and channel management and sales responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and coach employees
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications Word, and Excel as well as manufacturing software ? Epicor, Microsoft Navision
Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time; Must have an active/valid driver?s license and an insurable driving record.
